Class of 2006
Marta grew up on a hog farm in the Catalonia district of Spain. She spent 2 months with SHP, and experienced all aspects of Canadian swine practice. Currently, Marta is working in a swine practice in the Barcelona Province of Catalonia, Spain.
Class of 2005
Rafaele's family owned hog farms in the Mato Grosso district of Brazil. She was interested in learning about the Canadian industry, and was able to experience many aspects of swine practice with us.
Class of 2007
Angie Delks grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and developed an interest in swine practice while at University. Angie spent 6 weeks with SHP experiencing Canadian swine practice. She now works for a swine practice in Iowa.
Heather James, WCVM, Saskatoon, SK
Class of 2006
Heather, originally from the Sunshine coast of British Columbia, spent the summer on the prairies, getting a taste of swine practice. She was also able to be involved with some research trial work within our practice, and won an award at the American Association of Swine Veterinarians meeting in 2006 for her work on the effect of iron dose in piglet performance. Heather is currently in mixed practice in Humboldt, SK.

Lawrence spent several weeks with SHP in the summer of 2004. With a broad knowledge of veterinary medicine, and having spent time around the world teaching in Agriculutral colleges, Lawrence was able to gain field experience in swine veterinary practice. After graduating from University of Montreal Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Lawrence spent 3 years in swine practice in Lethbridge, AB, and is now taking his Masters Degree at the University of Montreal.

Amy Woods came to SHP as a summer student in 2003. She already had a working knowledge of swine practice, and broadened her knowledge base with some Canadian swine veterinary experiences. She is currently working in swine practice in Indiana.
